Hello all,
I do not recall having this problem previously, but I just had my second lesson in six years last night and I kept noticing my toes going numb while I ride. Does anyone have an idea of what may be causing this? I am an Irish dancer and have spent years competing; we dance very high on our toes. Needless to say, I am having major trouble dropping my heels. Could that contribute? My boots aren't too tight, although they are stiff, and my half chaps fit fine. It is somewhat disconcerting.
Also, as mentioned above, I cannot keep my heels down, especially when posting. The second I begin to post, my heels come up. Do you have any suggestions for keeping them down? Where should the power be coming from when I post? I know I am pushing off of the balls of my feet, and I feel certain that is a major cause of the heels up, and I am also certain I should be "pushing" from somewhere else.
