Have a trailer? Help rescue horses!
Hi all-
I don't post often but I thought this was worthy of your time.
www.fleetofangels.org is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the transportation of at-risk equines.
If you are willing to haul 5 or 500 miles, or even just willing to help facilitate the rescue of horses from dire situations (make calls, put people in contact with one another or just help spread the word like this!) register on this site.
I think about all the horses I could have helped when I didn't have access to a trailer and this is an affordable solution to that problem. I have several auction houses and race tracks in my vicinity and know that many more horses could have better homes if someone was just willing to bring them there. When I got my first rescue horse, I was lucky enough to know people that would help but not everyone is so lucky (or sometimes that friend cant help!). I joined to help "pay it forward" for all the help I received over the years!
Take a few, check it out and put your trailer where your mouth is to get horses out of at-risk situations!
