Saddles etc for sale and a Vitamin E question

First, I have several horsey items on Ebay closing this weekend: small Kerrits breeches, cheap 28" dressage girth, fancy new dressage pad, and four saddles. Please go bid on stuff so I can pay vet bills! Saddles range from super-cheap basic model cutback style to a really nice Passier Vector, pictured here.

Second, I would love input on issues relating to Vitamin E deficiencies and Lyme disease. My cutie-pants auction/rescue boy Jasper started showing very mild lameness high up in his hind end, after being sound for the 5 months I've had him. The vet noticed odd muscle spasms and tested blood for Lyme (due to the vagueness of the ouchiness, which seemed to switch sides during my ride) and Vitamin E/Selenium levels (due to the spasms medially above his stifle, almost in his groin).

Jasper came back positive on both Lyme tests and low on E. He's going on Doxycycline and Smartpak's natural E supplement ASAP. Given the lack of grass in our turnouts, will he need the E permanently? Could it be related to the Lyme somehow or are those totally different issues? The only health issue he had when I got him (aside from dire need for dental/farrier work and muscle atrophy from going in shitty saddles) was some mild diarrhea, so he is also on SmartDigest, which resolved that promptly. I'm leaving him on that for now, since the probiotics will help while he takes the antibiotics for Lyme.

To put a name to a face, this is the horse now known as Sergeant William Jasper, after the South Carolina war hero, making his mopey face:
