This may be a weird helmet question...
So I haven't ridden since October due to a terrifying school schedule (and I volunteer and work 3 jobs). I usually take the winter off anyway so was excited by the way the weather has been warming up recently. Was shopping today thinking about how I need a new helmet when I realized my predicament.
I had decided over the winter to grow dreadlocks. They're now in the 3rd month of development and I wasn't thinking at all about possible helmet issues! Obviously, there is no way I'm NOT going to wear a helmet (hello there, previous skull fracture and broken nose). Has anyone here ever ridden while sporting a set of dreads? Any tips as to how to work with helmets?
I'm looking at a 1/4 size bigger but just putting the helmet on pulls on all my hair and since they're so tightly threaded together it has already given me a headache. Suggestions to reduce hair pulling?
