I agree that the saddle doesn't fit you, but you look fine on the horse. A good match, IMO.

Now, if he were 12.2....then it'd be a different story. ;)

Oh I completely agree about the saddle as well. His owner is stick-thin so my butt kind of overflows...haha.

Personally I don't think you look mismatched at all. My horse is 15.2hh and I'm 5'8". I also rode a little (14.1hh) QP named Kaycee for years, when I was still 5'8", now yes, that did look funny, but hell, I didn't care, she carried me fine and so does my horse Jake, and I look a tad big on him because he's only 15.2hh.

I don't think you look big on the pony in your icon! I really think it's because I'm so used to seeing myself on Sam the 15hh tank haha.

This might be because my mare is 14.3ish and I'm 5'5", but I don't think you look too big on him, and I'm sure you can find a saddle that suits you both. He looks like a really nice horse!

Thank you! So far the only problem people have commented on is the saddle size which is very encouraging. :)

I think you look just fine on him. I ride a 15.2hh Arab and I'm just over 5'8". Tall horses are overrated, lol.

Tall horses can definitely be overrated, there are pros and cons to having a small horse or a tall one.

Yes the tack is not coming with him so I was going to buy a new saddle anyway! The one he has is so teeny! haha.
