possible splint? without lameness?
Hey guys. So, question. My 6 year old OTTB, Keizer has what I'm assuming to be a splint. This picture isn't him, I found this online, but it looks just like this:
Maybe slightly smaller, hard to tell though. I'm not sure how long it's been there exactly, a few weeks. I've been super busy so he hasn't been worked hardly at all(only lightly ridden once or twice since I've noticed it), he's been perfectly sound, there was never any heat coming from it and doesn't seem to hurt him, not sensitive, etc. And he's a big baby so if it was bothering him at all, he'd be letting me know haha. When he's lame, he's REALLY lame. I've no idea what caused it. So what I'm wondering is, does anyone know of this happening, splints without lameness or anything? Doesn't it usually come with lameness? Or any other ideas of what could have happened/what it would be?
