anyone use Easyboot Epics?

I'm looking to get a set of Easyboot Epics for two of my mustangs. Neither has ever been shod, but this fall we're looking to do quite a bit of riding over gravel and some of the AERC rides we're planning to do in the next few years require shoes or boots. I'm just wondering if anyone here has used these, and if so, what do you think? Ever had problems with chafing? How many miles has the tread lasted? If your horse's hooves are between sizes, did you order up a size or down? (I asked customer service and they told me it depended on the shape of the hoof. My gelding has wide, cupped feet and a short toe. They told me to order down a size so he isn't tripping over a loose boot in front, but I worry about chafing if the sides are too tight.)
