So, a few months ago I tried to find a way to embroider or patch a green ribbon onto a saddle pad, to show support for the victims of the genocide in Darfur. It's a cause that I have been active in politically and wanted to bring my support to the barn, also. I never got around to doing it because I have no hand-sewing skills and no access to a sewing machine.
I was thinking about it again today, and wanted some feedback.
Would you, as an equestrian (no matter what discipline) be interested in saddle pads or other equestrian gear displaying support for certain causes?
I'm toying with the idea of starting a small online shop where one could buy a saddle pad to support whatever cause they wanted or that I can offer, such as a breast cancer pad with proceeds going to SGC Foundation or one for Genocide Intervention Network, or autism awareness or horse charaties or Alex's lemonade stand.... or whatever people wanted.
