Green Horsemanship
Today is Earth Day in the Northern Hemisphere. How is your farm going green?
We:
- compost our own manure, then spread it on our fields.
- have a rainwater harvesting system that takes the rainwater from the roof of our 20,000 square foot indoor into an underground tank (made of recyclable materials), and is then used to water our outdoor arena.
- order from Smart Pak, Dover and other eco-friendly companies who use recyclable materials in their packaging.
- recycle, recycle, recycle. :)
