Me, a lifelong eventer, groom for show jumpers, and she who loathes all things Hunter, has just been asked to be a Hunter judge for the local show tomorrow.
I've decided that if I hate the way the round looks, they should probably place well!
Seriously, though.
Classes - Working hunter, handy hunter, equitation over fences and hunter under saddle. 5 division, from x-rail to 2'9".
It's been years since I've done anything Hunter, so any tips would help, either for judging, or what the riders will be expecting.
The good thing is that I have no predisposition toward certain horses or riders on the local circuit!
So, while I'm pretty confident that I know the basics of what to look for, any tips on some of the more subtle nuances?
