For those of you in California [or are knowledgeable about this sort of thing] is there a law requiring a vet to be present when a horse's teeth are being floated by an equine dentist? While browsing another dentist's website, I came across a statement saying: 'California state law requires that any person who is not a veterinarian must have a veterinarian present while they are floating a horse's teeth. This includes basic file floating without sedation.'
However, I cannot find this supposed state law mentioned anywhere [unless I just suck at Google, which is entirely possible]. So, help?
