I'm only asking this because I've been getting mixed responses from the over 18 crowd I talk to.
The short version: I'm in charge of ordering 2009 year end awards for the academic portion of our county's 4H program. Last year, our budget was $40 per kid. It changes every year, so it's always best to try to find something within a lower price range than whatever was given the year before, and then be happily surprised when the budget is higher.
I've pinned down two options.
Option #1 is a 8" engraved silver plate. It's on special with Hodges right now, and I thought that it would be something different than what they've received in past years.
Option #2 is just getting really huge tri-colors. (Think $20 ribbons)
In the past few years they have received: 2008- stall signs. 2007- belt buckles. 2006- a big ribbon. 2005- a plaque in the shape of the state.
So... if you were in that 10-16 year old age range, would you prefer a huge ribbon or a silver plate?
