Guessing Age.

Hi all.

This is an apparently 14 year old Morgan mare. I am waiting on the seller's registration number to confirm (if she is in fact registered)...but if you had to guess, how old would you say this mare is?

She does look a bit morab - I've got a 10 year old morab and he's stall-kept (so that rules out founder or overgrazing) and I ride him six days a week working to keep him conditioned, but he still has a pudgy belly.. (see below, old picture but...)



Other than her mysterious chub she looks great, has a really pretty face, I'd say anywhere between 12 and 16 is fair game but that's just my speculation from the photos. Given that she is a mare, though, I'd doublecheck just to make sure she's not pregnant, because she does look suspiciously wide.

Shes def a full morgan, though a modern and not a lippitt, cause i got her name and reggy number, but for some reason the AMHA website doesnt provide a lookup service. grr.
