I have a pretty large write up of what i'm going to put on the website for our farm.
My question isssssssss would you board here? Am I leaving anything out? Does anything sound dumb?!

Driftwood Farms is a family owned equestrian facility nestled right along the Long Island Sound in Orient, New York. Picturesque landscape combined with exquisite equine care makes Driftwood Farms the perfect place for you and your horse.
Facilities
Driftwood Farms is set on 177 acres of lush grass on the Long Island Sound. The farm boasts two barns, a large outdoor arena, 3 medium paddocks and one large field. The Farm also has trails for hacking on the edge of the bay.
Our Large barn includes 3 spacious stalls with Dutch doors, a cozy tack room and is climate controlled for you and your horses comfort. Our Pasture barn is located out in the field, with 3 roomy stalls and a feed room.
Driftwood Farms is bordered by our new wood fencing, and our pebble driveway takes you right out to the bluff. Our trails across the street will take you and your horse on an exciting ride right out to Long Beach Bay.
Coming in July 2008 is our new indoor arena! The indoor will be 60x40 with (blahlah) footing, perfect for schooling in inclement weather.

Boarding-
We offer 3 different boarding packages for your horse. All packages include access to wash stall, trails, tack room and arenas.
Large Barn- Your horse receives a comfortable stall in our large barn, with stalls cleaned daily. Together we will set up a feeding program and turnout schedule specific to your horse’s needs. Full board also includes weekly grooming, fly spray as needed, and one lesson a month. This package is $550 a month
Pasture Barn- Your horse will receive a shady stall in our pasture barn with all day turnout. Together we will set up a feeding program specific to your horse’s needs. Pasture Barn includes showers on very hot days and fly spray as needed. This package is $475 a month
Rough Board- Your horse will live outside in one of our lush grass pastures 24/7. Horses with this package get fed twice a day and can relax in the shade in the run-in. Rough board also includes showers on very hot days. This package is $400 a month

Group turnout is subject to compatibility. Single grass and sand turnout is available, as well as turnout in our indoor when applicable.
Lessons
Driftwood Farms proudly offers quality instruction to those riders seeking challenging, educational hunter seat lessons. Whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned show rider, Driftwood Farms will help you reach your riding goals with our personal lesson plans. We offer mounted and un-mounted lessons with our instructors and strive to give our riders full understanding of the equine as a whole. Please note that we employ independent instructors so non-boarders must trailer their horses to Driftwood Farms to utilize our beautiful facility and quality instruction.
Meet Our Instructors
Katie has been riding for over 15 years and has been teaching for the last 4 years with an ARIA Level 2 certification pending. From humble beginnings as a walk trotter at 5 to instructing winners in the show ring at 20, Katie employs her fresh ideas and spunky attitude into ever lesson she teaches. Her philosophy is based on having a solid foundation and an ever-growing mental tool box for focusing and sharpening your riding skills. Safety, confidence, balance, and happiness are always top priority in every lesson, no matter what your skill set is. A nanny in her other life, Katie specializes in children’s lessons, and loves a rider that seeks a challenge.
Trails
Come spend a day on the water! Driftwood farms sits on 177 acres of waterside property. Our trails take you through the woods, over stretches of farmland, and right to the edge of the water. Enjoy peace and quiet as you take a casual stroll through, or enjoy the long stretches of trail as you canter down.
Guided trail rides are available by appointment only to non-boarders trailering their own horses to Driftwood Farms. Please contact us for more information or to make an appointment.
On-Site Leasing
Driftwood Farms wants you to be apart of the family. We offer on-site leases to qualified individuals looking for an adventure. Half and Full leases are available. Lessees will be screened accordingly. Please contact us for more information on either of our available leases.
