So up here in dreary ol' Michigan, the snow has thawed, and our rainy season is here :P. Since the ground is so wet and soft, the poines are banished from the pastures and stuck in the paddock for the time bing, until the ground hardens and the grass can have a chance to come in.
Unfortunatley what this also means is they are making the paddock a mudpie. The paddock is normally dirt, so the rain plus churning hooves is making the area a diaster. So I'm wondering how you guys with deal with mud. It's hard to tell whats poo and whats mud, and hay gets mixed in too. Do you guys tend to your mud patches with frequency, going out multiple times a day to remove any poo you can tell is still poo and not dirt? Or do you succumb to the mud monster, knowing that in a few weeks it will be over, the mud will dry, and your yard won't look like a diaster zone?
