I just got back from seeing Serenity (didn't just finish seeing it but I just got back)!!!! I have insane amounts of love for Joss Whedon and that movie.

( cutting, just incase someone who plans on seeing the movie but hasn't doesn't get spoiled )

OMG, THE EGYPTIAN IS DOING A SING-ALONG OF OMWF????

I AM SO TOTALLY GOING!!!

I've been to a few midnight showings there and it's always fun! Actually, I saw Serenity at one of them. Heh. :D

Completely agree with everything you said about the film. It's amazing that it can still affect us so much even when we know all the plot points. Joss is my hero. And YES, he needs to come back to TV. I'm kicking myself so hard that I didn't get into his work until after everything was off the air.

Yes, the Egyptian is doing a showing! Karen sent me this link last week and I'm totally planning on going. OMWF is my favorite episode.

Joss is boss. :)

I'm still not 100% sure that I'm going (I really have some kind of serious aversion to planning anything in advance) but I'm hoping to go Friday night/saturday morning (I wasn't entirely sure if it was being shown thurs/fri & fri/sat or fri/sat & sat/sun...things at midnight are hard to plan).

I hate LJ right now. It's not sending me comments. :(

Heh! I'm pretty sure the Egyptian midnight shows are always on Friday and Saturday nights. I'm gonna try and make it to the Saturday show, I think, because I'm working that day and I don't particularly want to go to a midnight show the night before. Let me know if you decide to switch days. :D

Grrr, me too. :| (Um, except this one apparently?)

I thought Fri. & Sat. night made more sense but I still think the dates they list (being at midnight and all) make it confusing. I, personally, can do it Fri. or Sat. but I've been talking w/Karen about going and I don't know if she can do it either night. I'll probably know more by tomorrow afternoon (at a more sensible hour then this!).

I seem to be notified if someone comments on a comment I made in another journal. I'm just not getting notifications of comments left in my journal. Stupid LJ.

I emailed Karen and we've decided to go Saturday night (between the last time I talked to her and yesterday, she begrudgingly agreed to go to coffee on Saturday morning so she doesn't want to be out all night Friday).

*Obligatory "stupid LJ" comment here* I miss my notifications. :(

Cool! Both of my RL friends who watch Buffy are out of town right now, so I'll probably be going alone tomorrow night. When I went to Serenity, the line was pretty long, so I'm thinking I'll try to get there early-ish since I don't have tickets yet. Perhaps I shall see you there, then! ;)
