I just got back from seeing The Police in concert. It was pretty rad. There was a lot of really great rock guitar and some awesome reggaeish bass beats. I also enjoyed the percussion, with the little cymbals and bells and timpani (I believe). Plus, the drummer was silly so I liked him. Sting's voice still sounds great and he's pretty good

It was in a smallish theatre in Oxford when they were still punks and I was bitterly disappointed that they kept walking off stage because they were being spat on! I mean...this was during THE punk era and spitting was to be expected. I wasn't surprised when they wimped out of the punk scene after using it to gain fame and I've harbored hard feelings toward Sting ever since. ;)
I always had a crush on Stewart Copeland though. Is he still the drummer?
God...I feel so old now! But I'm glad you enjoyed the concert. :)

Yes, Stewart Copeland is still the drummer, and he is kind of adorable. He seemed like he was having a very good time and was really cheerful.

How's that issue of Kerrang! that you bought? Any good? Kerrang! always has so many issues it's hard to keep up. Plus they're so thin and expensive since they're imports :(

TBH, I haven't read the Kerrang yet (just skimmed through it). I have a bad habit of buying magazines and letting them sit around forever, then reading them all at once. I really love the photos of The Used in it though.

I have a bad habit with magazines, too. I tend to read them all in one go as soon as possible and then just leave them around and totally forget about them. It makes life more interesting when I'm cleaning my room, I end up sitting and reading old magazines for hours. Oooh good photos of The Used? Awesome. I tend to buy magazines just for awesome pictures.
