I've been looking everywhere for a magic wand; I need one rather badly, even if it's only for a little while. And I'm sorry, lest I forget, hello, my name is Rosella, and I know this is a terribly abrupt way to start a conversation, but it's really very important that I find a wand I can use as soon as possible.

Hello, Harry, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
My problem is this: I recently learned that my family is going to be in terrible danger when I get back home, but I believe I can eliminate a great deal of that danger if I can learn a certain spell I've been working on. Right now, I have all the components I need to work the spell, except for a magic wand, and I've been looking everywhere to try to find one. I only want to borrow it long enough to cast the spell, that's all--I'd give it back afterwards, of course...

With an explanation like that, I would lend it to her, but...I still should be careful. Last time I was too trusting, I nearly met the ends of a snake.
I'm sorry about your family, but I'll have to think about it and consult with a few friends. Not to discount your problem, but a wand's just not something that can be so easily lent out.
...Besides, spells usually can't cross the City's boundaries.

Oh, no, I understand completely. And I know that sometimes wands won't work for people other than their owners, so it's understandable also, if this one is that sort of wand. Really, I wouldn't ask if it weren't so important, but I've got to try something, and I thought it couldn't hurt to see.
No, but it's not the results of this particular spell I'm concerned with. If it works, and I can cast it after all, then I intend to memorize it.

It's dangerous to chance, Rosella. Simply because even if you can use it, who's to say that it'd work the right way? Our types of magic might be contrary, it could cause a bad reaction...

I know how dangerous it is, Harry. But for my family's sake, I'm willing to take that risk. He'll feed her to a cat if I don't do something!
Still, I understand if you'd rather not lend me a wand, and I thank you for at least hearing me out. I'm sure I'll manage to come across one I can use eventually, if I just keep trying.

I'm just making sure. Of the three of us, you've always been the generous one.
But it's not just about her character, it's that various forms of magic, particularly those like ours, don't mix easily. There's no guarantee that attempting magic with our wands won't hurt her, and certainly the chance of her spell working with it are next to none.
I've had an extensive talk with her already, I don't understand why...

Why do you ask?

Maybe if you explained your problem? I'd prefer to be careful because even if she seems like innocent girl, you never know.

I'll ask Hermione and Ron first.
