Combined with the strange change in people in the town, people simply going home but their bodies still walking around, their faces still everywhere in town. But he can tell just with a glance--it isn't them. Not the people he'd met. They were drones. Regardless, he will be either at his desk slouching, in the hall looking glum, or wandering around the high school campus in search of Patti.]

[Kid has spent much of his afternoon searching for Patti. He isn't approaching anyone unless he is completely certain he recognizes them. As such, there is a lot of him standing about looking warily at passers-by, as if scrutinizing their every move. He wasn't going to be caught talking to these drones. He refused to play into Mayfield's shenanigans.]
