On Friday, I was lame. Mowed the lawn and ran an errand or two instead of acting my age and going out. I was also in bed quite early too.
Saturday was funner. Christina came over, and looked quite lovely in the dress she bought. The, we headed up to Hollis for her friend Beth's wedding. It was being held at this function facility/day camp type place. Sounds weird, but it was quite nice. The 15 minute ceremony (no lie...it was that short) was nice. Beth's dress was cool, and the dudes were wearing kilts. Haha. Other than the pastor calling Bethany Stephanie at one point, it went off w/o a hitch.
The reception was nice too. Free beer, good steak and chicken, and not a lot of dancing. My ideal situation! LOL. The cake Clarissa made was very good, too. All-in-all, it was a fun morning/afternoon.
We ended up chilling for the rest of the day. We did go to Michael's/Linens N Things, then we went and got some food at Romano's, and hung out for the rest of the night. The me, being the young, energetic guy that I am, started falling asleep by 11, so Christina headed home.
Sunday morning, I got up early to half-ass wash the car. I was going to wash and wax completely, but the wax job from a couple weeks ago seemed to be holding up well.
I watched a little football, and Christina came over soon after. She napped while I watched football. I forsee similar Sunday's in the near future.
She managed to drag me away from the Pats game at 5 to head to the Olive Garden. Let me say this: forever will a live for the Neverending Pasta Bowl: 5 Cheese Marinara and Linguine. SO good! I suggest you all take advantage of this offer through the end of the month...all you can eat pasta for $8, and you get to take leftovers home! Best deal in town!
For the second time in a week, I ran into Krystal Foley. Quite odd. I didn't talk to her either time, simply because I was not in the mood to play catch-up. Also ran into another Dracut alumn, who is working at the OG. Ha.
After dinner, C-Lo and I headed to AMC to see The Corpse Bride, which started late. Considering the movie is less than 1 hour and 15 min long, that wasn't a huge issues. However, it felt like it was a lot longer. The movie sucked, to be perfectly honest. The story was lame, it was not funny AT ALL, and it didn't even come close to A Nightmare Before Christmas. I think Tim Burton called in a couple favors to get this borefest into theaters. My advice if you want to see this movie, just rent A Nightmare... and pretend you saw Corpse Bride.
The rest of this week does not deviate from the typical: work and errands after work. Friday is a bit skewed though. My mom goes in for surgery in the morning. Nothing serious, so to speak, but just a precautionary procedure. That afternoon/evening is a work meeting at a local pub/eatery. I guess its a 4 year celebration, but there will be a couple work presentations to attend. Then, that night, I will be hanging out in Boston for Alumni weekend festivities. Should be a good time, so long as some select cool peeps attend (are you in Di? Ski gave a tentative yes, and some other people should be there as well).
Saturday and Sunday are a toss up right now. Obviously visiting mom a lot. I have to go to a damn bank in Lynn sat. morning to get that warranty check thing signed off, and I was thinkin of headin to Stonehill for the football game that afternoon, but I don't think that's going to happen. That night is a party at Megan's in her new Boston digs. Should be a good, drunken time.
Sunday is a who knows day. Might take Christina on a surprise trip. We shall see. ;o)
OK, back to work for me! Yay.
