This past week was a lot of work and some car loan stuff. Work was decent...being that busy is quite the change, but it went well. Had some good convos with a coworker regarding the situation with our commission. It was good to get the truth of the matter out there, and it even gave me a "push" to actually try to get to where I want to be. The week was good (aside from possibly losing a qualified lead), so lets hope the next few weeks are just as good.
The car loan stuff is finally settled, after having to go to my bank on 3 (yes three) seperate occasions because of bad communication transfer between the different deptartments at the bank. Oddly enough, I am attempting to get in touch with high-ups at the bank to offer them a better way of keeping track of such vital information (work-related, of course). I used this personal story, so I hope its convincing enough for them. The story is, in short, that my loan kept getting pushed because the fact that it was a refinance (which I clearly stated) was somehow lost. Visit 1 concluded. Visit two consisted of them telling me they can't get in touch with the credit union the loan is currently through, and can't get the right value of my car (kept saying its valued at $16k, when its really $19k). 2nd visit conluded. Finally, all was settled on the third visit, and I got the loan stuff settled. Score.
This weekend was quite fun. Friday was the cruise with Netspokers, but I decided to not attend. Instead, went to a house party at Jon's friend's house. It was a decent time, but a very late night. Saturday morning was an early start due to aforementioned loan stuff. Got my haircut too, then headed up to Madbury to pick up Christina for a fun night!
Drove up to North Conway with no traffic. Decided to get a hotel room ASAP so we wouldn't get stuck later, but stopped at the Ralp Lauren outlet first. Got a room at the Mt. Washington Inn (after scrapping my car's underside on a curb...just damage to debris blocker under bumper...s'ok), then went to the outlet. Just looked around a bit, but all the stores were between seasons, which meant not much of a selection. Just bought some Lindt's chocolate for me, Christina, and Mom. After that, we headed off to dinner. First tried the Muddy Moose...40 minute wait and it was mad noisy, we moved on. Went to the 99 where I somehow missed a two foot drop from the road to the parking lot. No bottoming out, again s'ok. The 99 is an hour wait. Figuring everywhere would be the same, we waited...for a good 75 minutes. Yay. Saw John Phaneuf and his rents there. Quite random, and reinforces that fact that where ever I go, I am bound to run into someone I know. Anyway, the food was good (even though my steak tips were small). Christina got the honey BBQ chicken, and it was mad good...some of the best 99 food I've ever tried.
After that, we headed back to the room, relaxed for a few, went to the pool/jacuzzi, and then headed to bed.
(See hun, I didn't even mention that the girl at the Muddy Moose was "flirting" with me because we had the same last name, after inquiring about the "Quinn Printing" polo I was wearing.;o)
Sunday we slept in for a while. Ended up missing the free continental breakfast. They told us its from 7:30 to 10:30, but obviously that meant from 7:30 til the box of mini doughnuts is empty. So, we checked out, and off to DD we went. Not sure what to do from there, so we went to Pirate's Cove. Close match, but, I pulled out to victory card! I think that evens up the series at 2 a piece.
After that, we decided to drive down to Meredith. Walked around a Christmas shop, then off again. Got back to Christina's house, went to Chili's. After that, we both decided it was too hot and sticky out to do anything. So, I just chilled while Christina packed for Atlanta, where she will be til Thursday. Miss her I shall. :o(
Can't wait for work this week!!! WOOOO-HOOOOO!!!
I thought I acted more excited I would look forward to it more.
It didn't work.
