Coldplay was seriously awesome. I must admit that, before the concert, I was not the biggest Coldplay fan. They have some good music, but I wasn't a die-hard Coldplay fanatic. Now...I am.
They just had such and energy and stage presence that can't be rivaled. Just being in the audience and watching them have the time of their lives on stage, you know they are down-to-earth and know that they owe everything to their fans!
Their audience interaction was awesome, from yellow balloons, to fucking up lyrics and admitting it, to creating songs about Boston, to giving people props for tailgating ("Now Coldplay will be synonymous with Corndogs and a glass of beer in Massachusetts."), to running through the crowd at the end of clocks! It was simply amazing the dedication that the fans show to the band, and its all because the band gives it back, 10-fold! Most bands like that are afraid of their fans, and are too busy being famous to have fun. Not Coldplay. I highly recommend you all take a chance to see them in concert, even if you aren't a huge fan. You won't be disapointed!
Huge props to Ski for gettin the tickets and inviting me. Much obliged.
As a sidebar, after the concert, we were in the parking lot for a good two hours before any cars started moving. We just stood around talking. At one point, a girl came up to us and asked us if we were "selling anything." Haha...no. She did hang around and chat with us for a bit though, bummed a clove off me. It was cool. She really hit it off with Ski...a shame he can't remember her name (Leslie or Liza??...lol).
Ok, that's that. Now, here are the pics of my new ride! F the cut, just enjoy the view!
