I have no idea why, really, but my mood has been pretty craptastic over the last couple days.
I don't feel like making this a long post, so I will keep it relatively short (considering it is a week update). Last week, Christina and I spent some time together on Wednesday, which was fun. It always makes the week go by a lot quicker when I get to see her! :o) We got dinner at Scola's, then went back to my house and watched Say Anything. Good movie. Haha.
Friday night, Christina came to Dracut yet again. The rain was gonna be pretty bad so I insisted that she stay home, for safety's sake. But, she braved the weather to see me. What a nice girlfriend, huh?
So, we chilled for a few, then headed to The Village Inn for dinner. I haven't been there in years, but it was pretty good. I got the 12lb prime rib (ok, it was only 22 ounces)...honestly, not sure what I was thinking. It was good though. It was pouring when we got out around 10, and our plans to go bowling were dashed cuz Christina forgot her socks in her car (likely story...). So, once we got back to my place, it was relatively late, so we just chilled out for a while and watched TV. She got home safe, which made me happy.
Saturday was a late wake-up, took a while to get ready, picked Erich up, and we headed to Nashua to test out some cars. First was the Mazda3, and I was quite impressed. The ride was smooth, it handled well, and I felt comfortable in it. The cons about it was that the "base" model has power nothing, and even the upgrade to the "S" model still doesn't include moonroof, ABS, side airbags, or a spoiler of any kind (I'd want a lip, not the full-blown spoiler). But, it could still be a good purchase...be at least 2k less than the RSX after all is added, AND its more powerful. I think that it is the car I am shooting for. Got some plans in the works for a purchase plan, but until then, here is the pretty car (I'd be going for a dark silver):
BUT, before that decision was made, I went to test drive the Scion tC. First the car: I was not impressed. The ride wasn't great, the car itself was noisy (I drove the '06, but the '05 is the same car, really), and the interior felt...cheap, to be blunt. Overall, I just didn't like the car. It seems oversized, clunky, and just not a nice buy.
Now, the sales guy: I was not impressed. This kid couldn't have been much older than me, and he was terrible. I basically went in, told him I wasn't gonna buy that day, yet everything that came out of his mouth was ASSUMING that I would buy that day. He was terrible. Even on the test drive, he decide to personify the "hip" nature of the car by talking to Erich and I about the "muff" and "cock" ratio at Stonehill. Yeah... So, when we got back, he tried to get me to sign off on a credit check with them, promising me it doesn't add credit points (which I know full-well that it does add 5 to 25 points). I passed on that, so then...he tried to get me to sign for it again. Again, I said no. Then, he moves onto my trade-in...which I told him previously I probably wouldn't be trading in. Promised me he could get me 2k for it. I'd hope so, since the trade-in value is estimated around 2500. So, Erich and I left, probably never to return again. Damn the Scion, and its crappy sales people.
Back to the day. So, Erich and I wasted some more time that afternoon, and I finally got him to his surprise b-day party at Jamie's! A good, laid-back time. Christina was there, as well as Renee and Mark, Megan, Gary, and some people from the stand. It was a good time, some wiffle ball ensues (I sat out, since I seem to be a mosquito magnet this summer). It was a fun time though!
Yesterday day was not so fun. Did yardwork all morning, got in fights with the madre. Always a good time. Also ended up letting my Spinners tickets go to waste, since no one was available to come to the game. Also a good time...I enjoy spending 30+ dollars on three pieces of paper. I almost went to the game alone, but that would not have been fun.
I needed a pick-me-up, so I headed up to Portsmouth to see C-Lo. That always helps my mood. We had a good time...got some dinner, and just went to the beach and chilled. Just being in her company is good enough for me!
Today is work. Good way to bring my mood back down to the low levels. Got a call from my mom this morning saying that the hard drive for the home computer is fried, which just adds to the good-feeling situation of my life. So, I can safely say that I won't be online at home at all over the next two months, because that's probably how long it will take my mother to actually buy a new hard drive and get it installed. If you want to reach me at all in the meantime, do it at my work screen name: Eddie3 GBS.
I also leave on the family vacation to Toronto Thursday morning. So, I'll be in hell for 10 days...don't think I get cell reception in hell. I hope you all have a great week if I don't speak to you before then.
