Tried and True
You scored 65 Bostonian points!
You are 100% Bostonian. Your accent is probably as thick as molasses (and this cliche kind of makes you laugh, since you know all about the molasses flood). But um, you should consider living somewhere else for a while. This place can harden you, and you don't it to become your main identifying characteristic. Take a vacation.
My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 95% on Bostonian

Ok Cupid Speaking of Diana, I met up with her and Beth Thursday night at OTB for some dinnah and drinks. I left work at 4:30 actually thinking I might be a bit early. Yeah...who was I kiddin? 95 was a parking lot! I took the backroads up to the Middlesex Pike, got on 95, realized the traffic sucked, and got off in Woburn to take the back roads. Bad ideas. Got stuck in Woburn center traffic, and managed to get behind EVERY landscaping truck leaving the city...damn lazyass people who can't care for their own lawns! Anyway, got there around 5:40. It was a fun time though, great catching up with the both of those lovely ladies! Hopefully we can do it again soon.
Friday was a fun time too. Headed up to Salisbury to meet Heather at Colby's pad. Got there at 7:40, and the weather sucked on the way up...drove through quite the downpours and ominous lookin skies. Called Heather upon my arrival to find out she was just getting to Lowell on 495. Yay. Haha. Chilled out with Colby for a bit, and got aquainted with his dogs. Met his rents too, and they were good people. Heahter got there, and we chilled out for a few, then Heather and I were off to Hampton to see Dane Cook!
The weather was not fun. Finding parking was a beast, and once we found a spot and walked 3 blocks to the Casino, we had to walk AAAAALLLLLLLLLL the way back to the car cuz I forgot the tix there. I ended up buying an umbrella because of the rain. LOL.
Anyway, we went to the Purple Urchin to pre-game a bit, and had some good convos. We left there around 10 to find out that the line to get in now wrapped around the Casino. So, we stood for a while. The rain had ceased by then, so that was a plus.
The show itself was awesome! Dane Cook is a funny shit. The opener guy flopped a bit...kept having to buy point with the crowd by playing the Sox card. Dane had me laughing harder than I've laughed in a while, and Heather was the same way! Great show! I suggest checkin him out if you can, or pickin up his new CD/DVD when it comes out on July 26th.
After the show, I dropped Heather off at Colby's, and headed home.
Yesterday was partially a good time, partially not such a good time.
Got up semi early, picked up Erich, and we headed to the Acura dealership in Nashua. Looked around a bit, then test drove the RSX. Here are my thoughts...and a pic (color would be Jade Metallic though):
Pros
- Handles really well, turns were nice and tight
- The feel of the drive was nice too. Not bumpy at all, even though reviews say otherwise
- Small enough for Boston parking, but doesn't feel compact
- Standard equipment is a good package compared to some other cars (including safety features)
- I had plenty of room in front, with decent room still left in the back seat
Cons
- Blind spots were pretty bad, and checkin them was difficult
- The pick up was...OK. I expected a bit more from a "sport" coupe w/ 160hp
- The outside noise and noise w/ windows down was louder than expected (not ridiculous though)
That's that. Also took a look at the Hondas, but no test drive was needed. Pretty sure I've exed them off the list already, for a number of reasons. Still to be checked out: Mazda 3 & 6, Scion tC, and possibly the Mitsubishi Gallant and a new Corolla.
Saturday afternoon, I chilled with Erich and had some pizza. I was supposed to go to a Grad party that evening, and the OTS show last night, but my stomach was feeling off for some reason, so I was not up for leavin the house. Heard it was a good show though, which is cool! Just chilled and went to bed semi-early.
Today was less than exciting. Saw my Dad for a bit for El Dia de Padre, but he had some baseball games to coach. I did get to dload the new Coldplay album while at his house though, and its prit-tee decent after the initial listen.
I wanted to see Batman Begins during my now free afternoon, but no one was available to go. My bro went tonight at 9:30, but that was too late for my schedule! So, here I sit, as I have allllll afternoon/evening. Yay. Did watch Ladder 49, which was decent but sad. The Irish references were cool.
This week is work. Woot. Hopefully I'll get out to see Batman Begins soon enough. The weekend could be cool. Friday is still open, but that may change very soon. Saturday may be a day at the beach, then a party at LMiranda's in Woosta with the usual gang, which would also be a great time.
So, there's the duppa long post! Nice chat chitting with you!
