Keepin up appearances
I don't know if its just me or what, but lately I have just not been in the mood to update as I used to. I know people read my journal, and keepin a record of my good years can't be all bad. But, I've just gotten to the point where updating is more of a chore than a joy. However, I don't plan on stopping, because, well...I'm not sure why.
Wednesday was a fun day. Did some stuff around here for the morning, then drove into Boston for a fun afternoon. Met up with Alicia, went to the aquarium, and saw the penguins, both the noisy and quiet versions. It was cool, seeing as I haven't been there in well over 10 years (back when the building was a square cement block...haha). The displays are still amazing though. However, I still see no point to them having a "New England Pond" display or a "Boston Harbor Shoreline" display.
After that, we walked around Faneuil Hall for a few, trying to decide where to eat. Finally went to Bertucci's after randomly running into Jon's mom and uncle. Bertucci's was fun...I got the lasagna, which was actually very good! Ran into Tim Warner there as well, which was cool.
From there, we drove back to Alicia's apartment. We recruited her roommate for a trip to JP Licks. The ice cream was quite good, although not as good (or as free) as Richardson's! haha. We walked back to her place, and I parted ways, after having a very fun day! Its always nice to get out into Boston on such a great day, especially with some great company.
Yesterday was another day spent doing nothing! I'm so good at it, so why break the streak?? Last night, I decided to live it up a bit and ventured to the Claddagh in Lawrence with Kim, Jon, Allison, and some others. It was actually a good time. Drank, watched the Sox, played pool, drank more, and chilled. Fun times. Took off from there around 11:30, stopped at Taco Bell for a ranchero chicken taco (yeah, it hit the spot), came home, and slept.
Today was another day of nada. I did, however, get my first unemployment check, which is quite cool! Mooching off the government is the coolest! LOL.
The weekend...nothing as of right now. Tonight will be low key. Howie Day is at Stonehill tonight. I was gonna try to go, but I don't care enough. I'm gonna see if I can't round something up for tomorrow night. Who knows. I'm done though.
