For a real update

This weekend has been spent considering myself lucky not to be under the reign of Netspoke, Inc. anymore. The more I think about it, the more I think I am in the good graces of whomever is looking over me.

So, after my glorious exit yesterday, I came home here for all of 37 seconds just to drive all the way back down to Stoneham to hang out with Sara (from Netspoke) while she unpacked at her new digs. She had called me like three times asking me to come over, but I got none of the messages til I was back here. I got down to her place without getting lost. It was a nice half-house apartment. A studio-type downstairs and and loft-like upstairs. Very cabin/homey feeling. So, chilled out with her, talked about the events of that afternoon (she had taken the day off), and helped her unpack a little bit. After a while, Marta joined us, and Kristin was soon to follow. Brian (Sara's bf/live-in partner) arrived soon after, and we all partook in some beverages. Marta and Kristin then went upstairs for a little smoking session, where Marta proceeded to spill "bubbler" water all over herself and on Sara's bed. Nice. LOL. So, we all chilled out for a while after that, but then Sara and Brian had to go to a send-off party for his uncle (Father Mac, the guy who is always on the Boston catholic TV Channel. He's going to the Vatican to fill a new job...no, not being the Pope). So, we all left and went our respective ways.

Yesterday was a work-filled day. I went with my mom to Home Depot to pick up new faucets for the bathrooms and the kitchen. We also grabbed new lighting fixtures for the bathrooms, and new showerhead, and ceiling fans for Bri and I's rooms. Erich swung by soon after we got back to see how depressed I was about the job situation. My aunt and uncle came by soon after, so Erich, my uncle, and I went to work and attacked the upstairs bathroom faucet. It proved to be a more difficult job and originally expected. We ran into a couple speed bumps, but the job went rather well. There was a tiny leak, but I just fixed it, so we're good as gold. I may attack the faucet in the downstairs bathroom today, but we shall see. I may wait til tomorrow, since I have nothing better to do with my time (except look for a new job). But, I digress.
Last night, after the work we did and a quick shower, Erich, Jamie, and I went to Ruby Tuesdays for some food. It was pretty good. I got the steak tips, and they were actually quite good, aside from their small, rabbit poop-like appearance. So, that was a good time. We went back to Jamie's after and just chilled out for a bit, got some ice cream at the stand, the usual fare. I came home soon after and sleep ensued.

Now, I sit here and type as my Snow Patrol DVD plays in the other room. Ahh, I love music on lovely spring days.
OK, I now have to start my search for employment. Not sure what else is up for today, or for this week. We shall see what comes along.
