I don't want to work, I want to bang on my drum all day...
Well, work has been...well, work this week. Yesterday was a good day at work for reasons I care not to disclose due to a number of reasons. However, further down the line the events of yesterday might be revealed.
Today, on the other hand, sucked major ass! I mean, I do love the job, but today went by soooo friggin slow! I didn't have one demo scheduled at all today, so for the entire 8 hours I was at work, I was on the phone calling people. This wouldn't be too bad, but more often than not I was calling the same company 10+ times attempting to get the person I needed to talk to on the phone. I swear that some people allow every incoming call to go into their voicemail just so they will have to do less work for the day. And I got some real douche bags on the phone today as well. Once guy proceeded to tell me how busy his work day is, then said, "You don't know the meaning of hard work!" and slammed the phone down on the reciever. I can understand if people say, "No thanks" and hang up, but that ass was just a simple dickhead! I put a note down to give him a call at least once a day for the next two weeks...just to piss him off, punishment for his lack of tact.
The rest of the week is more work. It won't be as bad as today, because I have 5 demos to run over the next two days, which is quite the relief! Tomorrow night should be fun too! Heading down to Mansfield to join in the Thursday Night Crew festivus, featuring Megdog, Tommy D, Janie, and Jim! Depending on how tired I am after tomorrow night, this may become a weekly ritual. Friday is work, then sleep (per usual). Saturday is still up in the air...gotta call Danielle to see if she can squeeze me in somewhere. I have also decided that a week from Saturday will be my official iPod purchase day! Sure, its a $300 purchase...but I deserve it, being so frugal with my money over the past...uh...9 years! I def. deserve a splurge purchase! I just hope its compatible with transfering files from Windows ME (I can't get iTunes, so I don't know if there's bad blood between Apple and ME). Any pre-fielding of that question by current iPod owners will be greatly appreciated!
