Dracut had an earthquake Monday night. The breaker explosion was less than a half mile from my house, and the epicenter was supposedly also the same distance away. The quake itself was minimal...the house did shake for a second or two. Probably the most exciting thing to ever happen in this dang town.
In other news, Blues Traveler's "The Mountains Win Again" broadcasted over my iPod this morning. Its amazing how much the song reminds me of certain aspects of my college years, and can take me back in an instant. I've been very nostalgic as of late, desiring to have a chance to go back and enjoy the experience again, and that song booked my heart on the same ride back in time that my mind has been waiting for. However, while my mind was thinging of the good times, the song reminded me of the aching that college delivered. Yet, it still strengthened my longing to repeat history. Its sad and...emptying, knowing that those years won't ever repeat themselves. Sure, many experiences are to come, but the coveting for the carefree years of life at Stonehill won't ever die.
