Last evening was spent having Trader Joe's Dinner with Aly and Tiffany and finally completing a song on Guitar Hero (on cooperative, on bass, playing "Heart Shaped Box").
After I got home, I fell asleep while the roommates watched the new version of Hairspray, but woke up in time to watch a 10-minute informercial for the Time Life Soft Rock collection. At two am, We were erm, quite enamored with it, singing along to Daniel by Elton John, Maggie May by Rod Stewart (we also debated his attractiveness in comparison to other 70's soft rockers, which looked like various breeds of long-haired dogs walruses, I do have to say that my favorite 70's hottie, though definitely not a soft rocker, is Joe Strummer, who was hot hot hot), and several songs we thought were originally done by Celine Dion. But the thing was, that they never told us the actual price-- they kept telling us, that we could try it for 30 days for 9.95 (which, I suppose, is time enough to burn them on cds) but we actually had to call (after they tried to get our credit card number first!) to find out that it was "five easy payments of 29.95!" After that, the joy was pretty much lost. Oh well. I guess we're just stuck listening to KOST.
