He didn't bother to check his phone's caller ID, for the personalized ringtone told him all he needed to know about his caller. With an annoyed sigh, he pushed the cobza from his lap and made a face at the kitten who was amusing itself by batting at the broken string that Ion hadn't yet replaced.
He hit the answer button perhaps a bit harder than was needed.
SO SHAMELESS YOU ARE.epsilonlessthanJuly 13 2011, 03:49:32 UTC
"Ah..." After an additional lengthy pause during which Miha shoved his grading list aside on his desk, he forced out a mild but(in his opinion) inoffensively amicable, "Good, good. He is with you? I don't recall leaving the door open but then, it's entirely possible he could have climbed out one of the windows. I was concerned when I noticed he didn't seem to have been eating."
Stop your mangsting.amar_dulce_vinJuly 13 2011, 04:16:52 UTC
Ion had to pause for a moment to bit his lip against the smug laugh that threatened to burst forth. It hadn't taken nearly so long to wear the idiot down as he had thought it would. Mihailo really had no willpower.
Ion smirked and kept his tone carefully apathetic.
Only if you'll stop using that stupid sexy smirk. Bastard.epsilonlessthanJuly 13 2011, 04:27:54 UTC
It might have been the line going dead were it not for the minute shift of fabric and paper on the other end.
"Admittedly, I have been wondering how your vacation has been. You haven't stopped by in a while, so I've assumed you've been enjoying your free time."
"No," Reflexively, Mihailo tossed an eraser over his shoulder. "Nothing of importance. There is a lecture on Ono's partitian numbers tomorrow evening at the Lincolnshire pavilion. I thought perhaps you would be interested."
Not that the cat really paid much attention to Ion's dictations. There was a barely perceptible hum of discomfort from the Serbian as Klein made another attempt to mark the instrument.
Thus said cat was deposited on the rug none-too-gently and Ion was left in relative peace to settle back into his bed's pillows and quietly savour the Serbian's pining.
You are well on your way, darling.amar_dulce_vinJuly 13 2011, 05:35:52 UTC
"Nu. It's the difference between you appreciating my company and you wanting my company. Naturally, I'm not much one for going where I won't be appreciated."
Honestly, that should've been obvious even to an idiot like Mihailo.
This is just my acid reflex.epsilonlessthanJuly 13 2011, 05:53:56 UTC
"I am not one to appreciate the presence of someone I do not want by my side."
Oh so rapidly, Ion's tone and the subtext layering his commentary was beginning to delve into a category of emotional states Mihailo had little to no experience (outside of familial bonds) in handling.
Feigning ignorance completely was unfortunately not an option with his student. "--Yes, I would like for you to attend."
At dizzying speeds apparently, the conversation had already so far gone into unexplored territories, the spike in his pulse had Mihailo gripping the phone with unnecessarily hard pressure. "That is more or less what I have stated."
He hit the answer button perhaps a bit harder than was needed.
"What do you want?"

Nicoleta. Car keys. Spare bulbs. Moldovan belongings that used to sit on the bedside table.
"--Cat?"
