Beatles-branded jukeboxes revealedby Samantha Loveday
Jul 28 2008
Lordsvale rolls out products illustrated with famous Beatles cartoon themes.
Lordsvale sales, one of the leading firms in the design and marketing of branded amusement machines and games, has been licensed by Caroline Mickler Limited to design Beatles-branded jukeboxes in the UK market.
Mickler is implementing the Beatles brand licensing strategy on behalf of Apple Corps, and has already attracted a number of high profile names including Lee Cooper, Ben Sherman, Kangol, Wedgwood, Halcyon Days and Corgi International.
Working with premier jukebox manufacturer, Sound Leisure, Lordsvale has produced two jukeboxes, each illustrated with famous Beatles cartoon themes.
The first includes illustrations based on The Beatles’ animated movie Yellow Submarine with artwork featuring the characters from the film.
The second is based on the US cartoon series The Beatles and features classic images from various episodes. Each jukebox holds 70 CDs with other features including microphone input for karaoke, iPod compatibility, remote control and a dual 60 Watt amplifier.
The official launch of the jukeboxes will be in Liverpool at the forthcoming Beatles convention on August Bank Holiday weekend (August 23rd to 25th).
“The combination of a perennially popular music product like the jukebox with one of the most famous music bands ever is certain to be enormously attractive to our market,” said Mike Ansell, Lordsvale’s MD. “We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with Apple Corps to be able to offer such a unique Beatles product.”
Caroline Mickler added: “A branded jukebox is a logical step for a name associated with great music and in Lordsvale we have an acknowledged expert in the field as a partner. The Beatles jukebox perfectly combines fun and originality with high quality design and manufacture.”

The phrase "August bank holiday weekend" ALWAYS pops that other Beatles event into my mind.
