PostSecret 8.12.06 - Favs are "... but it still turns me on when I see it on TV" and "Help! I'm heading towards impending doom!"

Second week in the place. Feeling much better about it. We're still painting but the end is in sight. Hung pictures in strategic positions to block out the worst of the wall blemishes. Now all I need to do is get my TV hooked up to ambro's G5, get my consoles going, and generally get things but away and then I'll post pictures.

TVM writing has restarted and in earnest. I'm actually thinking of *gasp* character moments and even more importantly of easily shot action sequences which to my mind's eye are really exciting. Though it does help that ambro bought me two new albums to get me into the the writing mood: Front Line Assembly's Artificial Soldier (iTMS link) and Lisa Gerrard's Whale Rider Soundtrack (iTMS link).

WWDC... was pretty fucking awesome. I'm glad I was wrong on a few things cause the things we did get were super bitchin. The flak has been a little bit more than I expected in regards to the "where's the TRU video iPod that makes chili and fries" announcement. My sentiments have been echoed everywhere else that it's the world wide DEVELOPERS conference, not a consumer conference. Though it appears they were showing off end user products (Time Machine, Stationary in Mail, iChat) most of these were cleverly veiled for the developers (sessions began immedietly afterwards that showed the back end of time machine where devs can actually dictate which files get backed up like actual db's and stuff not scratch files, or how the new notes and To Do's in mail will have an open structure so any app in Leopard can tap into and manipulate them). So fuck off pundits, I'm actually gonna hold off buying a new mac until Leopard is out. I was excited for Tiger and you would call that subdued compared to how excited I am for Leopard.

Mmmm... Chicken.
