The Violence Movie continues. I've completed a preliminary treatment of how I see the story going and making sure all the major action sequences are simply mentioned so we can develop them later. Am I happy with it? Not really because there's so much inside of it that isn't explained to my satisfaction, but that's not really a fault more that a treatment is supposed to be a taste of what I'm trying to achieve in a single page. Once I start getting some character information in from the guys I'll be able to start filling in the scenes and getting a first draft fully underway. I've started one using a new program I've found called Celtx which a cross-platform screenwriting tool. I've tried some programs before but it's the typical case of all it needing to do is help me create the proper script formart because with the proper font and point size with the proper formatting one page of script should equal one minute of screen time. It's not a science but it at least gives you an idea when it's just pages sitting there (obviously TVM won't match up because there's SO much action in it, but I want to be able to show people that I can write a properly formatted script). But most of the screen writing tools I've tried do exactly what you DON'T want them to do so it's you fighting the program all the time and it get's frustrating. Celtx seems to have it down with easy to use formatting functions and having the natural progression to what formatting I'm going to need next. It also has break downs of characters, props and locations and based on that information in the script scenes it can automatically generate call sheets of who will need to be where with what for each scene of shooting. Pretty rad. Of course the tools won't make me a better writer so I just gotta dive in. ;)

I'm getting addicted to japanese sex manga. I'm starting to get a serious hate on for live action porn. I mean the stuff I do at work is bad which is fine I just don't watch it outside of work. But I'm talking about the porn I download for personal use, it's just so unbelievably bad it makes me want to vomit (well maybe not vomit...). But with sex manga, at least the characters have a chance to be cute and the situations are still all total fantasy (which can get a little extreme at times but hey it's FANTASY). So yeah, that is all.

This is pretty true, which is sad.
This is definitely interesting, but again the only real thing of interest to me is that "can run windoze and OS X" arguement. OS X is the key to 99% of my computer life and that 1% windoze would let me fit in some System Shock 2 nicely. The cost is very good, but still it's a high cost period and the only people these hardware comparisons really matter to are people who know enough to build their own notebook in the first place or those who don't know what they're talking about. I'm seriously considering the MacBook now that I've seen their final cut benchmarks. Motion wouldn't be able to run in real-time anyways if you have more than one video clip, you'd need a RAID.
