(no subject)
Nothing too interesting has been going on with me. I've been generally underwhelmed by the World Cup so far and other than that, I just want to see Mad Men. HOWEVER, the amount of butthurt I've endured on behalf the US MNT is such an amount that I am quite sure I am a fan of theirs. Like, I could not be this offended over a team I didn't care for. So that's nice, just knowing it.
My granddad bought me a book on Russian history and I'm in the middle of reading one on Indian history right now, so I am slowly yet surely closing giant gaps in my knowledge. Because I know I don't know about those areas and for a history major I felt like such a jackass. After that China and then I'll see what I can work on. I've also started tapes for learning German, which are great because I really need to hear the sounds of a language before anything sticks.
There is family drama as usual but nothing I'd want to bore you with. Anyway, none of it will affect my ability to sit around and doze off watching group games these next few weeks so as long as that stays the same I'll be fine.
I feel like such a dork finding skaters to add on facebook, but I guess if they accept the friend request then it's ~nothing weird bro~.
