Going to see the fashion exhibit at the Met with art club was tons o' fun. cicy and i spoke broken french to each other, which worked for a bit. the Diane Arbus exhibit was awesome and beautiful, and Ruben's drawings looked good, although we zipped through it (you know how time deadlines are). we left a group of kids on the subway platform, which was really funny, although mrs berger was flipping out (kinda). a feast of Japanese food topped off the day, good fun.
now i'm waiting for inspiration so i can create a living being because Merriam is going all DI on us with his instant-challenge homework assignments, that bastard...(Cailtin: "can we have a copy of the problem?"). it's a cool intro to frankenstein, but i can't think of anything interesting.
in other news, i've decided to join the peace corps (before college, after, in the middle, whatever, it's gonna happen). i've talked to my parents, i've looked at the website and i'm ready to leave tomorrow, if such a thing was possible. just a few more years...
i watched many a home video this weekend, which basically consisted of naked me and naked wes running around in my yard (and multiple variations of this, such as wes in a pink cowboy hat and open jean vest--no pants, no nothing). i do not connect to myself at all, i can't recognize my own voice, my features, anything, it's weird. however, it's all painfully cute, watching little versions of everyone run around and be little (mini dan algarin engrossed in crushing a plastic cup, little allyza eating birthday cake, tiny georgie running through the sprinkler in her underwear). it's a nostagic punch in the face. does anyone want to have a baby-movie marathon? i've got tons of footage if anyone wants to reminise...
and that's that.
