So, on August 27, 2005 Brett's murderers confessed. I don't know what to think. Two 17 year old kids. Some fuck-twat who has probably never even had to support himself took the most amazing musician and one of the most amazing people I've ever met out of my life.

I remember being 17, smoking a lot of pot and hanging out with my friends. Certainly not saying: "Hey, it would be fun to kill this guy..." I don't care how poor you are, what position you are in, I've been there. I've never said: : "Let's kill him to get ahead." You never need to.

Laziness is not a sin. It's evolutionary. What is a sin, however, is to cross those lines from human to animal and kill, maim, or hurt to accomplish a goal.

These fuckers did, and dispite their age they have no excuse. Steal cars, scam people, but you never kill without a personal reason. Had Brett offended them I would still feel the need for retribution, but would have at least understood.

They were not driven by a "hard" life. I've had a hard life and never killed another. Everyone has a hard life. It's completly subjective. The rich kid who's girlfriend leaves him and who's father is an alcoholic life lives a life just as hard as you when you get your power shut off. So what the he ate steak and you ate mac n' cheese. To both of you it was difficult.

So shit, do what you have to, but expect retribution.
