I've been watching all the Best Picture Oscar winners, so I've seen a lot of movies lately that I didn't especially like, but they were in some way interesting and held my attention. So I thought I was over this thing where when I watch a movie I don't like, I'm struck with the immediate, undeniable desire for the people in it to die, preferably in the method of an action movie or slasher pic.

I really, really wanted Arnold Schwartzenegger or that guy from Scream to off the cast of Ordinary People. It would have been sooooooooooo much more fun than watching that melodramatic, boring, stilted mess.
