I love her reviews which are totally honest, her writing which is fantastic and the fact that she's changed so much in her life, it takes a brave soul to do that..AND YOU TOTALLY DID, think about the last two years and all you have done.
Yes, I totally directed that last part right at you. *smile*
I like that even though we have our differences, we've managed to stay friends. I like that Megan posts about writing and travel and stuff and I like that she's thoughtful and critical and (yay!) not afraid to come forth with an unpopular opinion. I like that we met in person and that made us understand each other better. :)
I love Megan because she is strong and articulate and she always seems to be growing, challenging herself, changing her life and expanding her horizons. Just in meeting her and seeing her friendship with Allie in action really made her amazing in my eyes; in my life, anyone who cares and gives like that is without a doubt a fanastic person (ditto goes for Allie too!).
Her fics are among the best I have ever read. So many of them have stuck with me long after reading them, because they're brilliantly written and just plain brilliant. She has such love for this fandom, and the people therein, and she hosts things like this. ♥
I don't know her very much even if I've lurked on her fic since forever (and it just shows that I can be stupid when I want), but she's amazing in what she does for the fandom, her writing is nothing short of excellent and I totally admire her.
Wow, we're just about the oldest oldtimers here, we recently figured out! It doesn't feel like that long in some ways (three years!) and in other ways it does. I remember when you didn't really write smut but just these wonderful UST fics that I still am very fond of (and love to go back and reread, like "Blind," one of my very favorites.) And of course your wonderful historic AUs! And the amazing J/J fics you wrote were just -- mindblowingly good.
I'm so glad you're still around, despite Lost letting us down and frustrating us so often. You've always been a great source of support and always ready to help out, fandomwise or otherwise and that's a rare and wonderful thing. :)
I really don't know where to start. Not only Megan is a truly amazing writer, one that is never afraid to avoid the easy way out and tell the story the way it needs to be told. She's also a driving force behind the fandom.
She's a great friend. She makes me want to learn how to drive so I can go on a road trip and I wish I could read as many books as she does. She is someone I'm proud to call a friend.
