So, the post I was gonna make prior to 10:34 pm was going to be filled with the usual speculation and stuff, like how watching an hour of Grey's Anatomy qualified me to diagnose Jack, and was the desk clerk in Tunisia one of Eko's flock, and what's up with Benry's vibrator-slash-quantum-time-and-space-plus-psychic-paper device?
I didn't turn it off after they killed Alex, and had to face the concrete truth that the only reason why I didn't is because I am totally and completely a whore for Sawyer.
I have a lot of other unpleasant thoughts about Lost right now. The ones that go beyond "fuck you you fucking fuckers" lie somewhere along the lines of...they set up this grand-scale epic love story between Desmond and Penny, but now Benry is going to kill Penny and make that completely pointless. Out of revenge/mourning. The ONLY CASE OF MOURNING IN THE ENTIRE SHOW WHICH HAS KILLED OFF APPROXIMATELY 15? 30? CAST MEMBERS SINCE THE DAMN THING STARTED. Which they were kind enough to make me think about when they had Sayid marry and then lose the love of his life, Nadia, which, you guessed it, went back to push my buttons about the circumstances surrounding Shannon's death in season 2, which I've always been pissed about.
I can draw only one conclusion. Either no one involved in the writing part of this show has ever actually lost someone they cared about, or they are all taking lots of really good drugs (similar to those Claire must be on), explaining both the complete and utter lack of continuity and also why this show makes no goddamn sense.
