Lost thoughts
Last night I said I didn't care about the plot of Lost anymore, and this morning I was trying to figure out what that means to me. Not caring about theories and twists? Just watching and enjoying?
That's when I realized: Lost is basically General Hospital.
The good GH from the 80s, when it had the big, sprawling adventure plots (one even involved a jungle island!), but still.
If Lost was a storyline on a soap, it would be fine. We'd expect them to drag things out and add all sorts of crazy things and new characters, because that's what happens on a soap. It takes years of daily episodes to get through to the end of a story. There's people you like, and people who the fast-forward button on your VCR was made for, and the group in the middle, who are okay either way.
