The Long Con makes me feel stupid. And I know it's the overthinking thing, like when you take a multiple choice test and all the answers are some shade of wrong

In a way I think it was a test, but I also think that Sawyer had to do it, one to save her and two, to go back to his comfort zone, he couldn't let her get that close, he couldn't let himself be loved, or more he couldn't let himself be loved while he was conning..it tainted it.
I wish I hadn't spoiled myself before watching The Long Con, but I was much too impatient and my cable company sucked. I love the episode, but I think the multiple choice test analogy is a nice one. There's no entirely right or wrong answer because the characters themselves were having major moral compass and identity crisis, all of them. I choose not to see it as a con on the audience because a) I hate cons and, b) because "open to interpretation" sounds much nicer.
Nah, I wouldn't say sticking to s2 is a bad sign. It's just sticking to what's familiar and comforting which, given that you had an awful day, is what anyone in your position should do. I've been rewatching s3 and it's killing me with the angst, especially at the end.
Thanks. I haven't rewatched much of season 3 at all. I rewatched all of season 2 when I got the DVD. But yeah, the Long Con has a lot of nice moments in it that make it worth watching again.

Well. That's a little better than what it makes me feel. :/
