I found a clear cap of the newspaper clipping here.
It pretty clearly says "the body of J--- -antham of New York was found shortly after 4 a.m [illegible, probably "in the X00 block of"] Grand Avenue."
Knowing their penchant for choosing historical names, I say it's Jeremy Bentham. Who the fuck that is, I have no guess, but I bet he'll have something to do with law enforcement.
