I picked up the New York Times in review today. I was appalled by something I saw inside. As many of you know someone is trying to build an Islamic Center next to Ground Zero, and some people are upset.
"Sixty-one percent of Americans surveyed by Time magazine said they opposed construction of the Islamic Center and mosque; 26 percent said they supported it."
"...24 percent said they thought (wrongly) that Mr. Obama is a Muslim."

Honestly? Someone owns land next to the trade center and wants to build a religious establishment there. Setting aside the fact that the MUSLIMS did destroy the trade centers (some individuals sent by militant groups did), but this group of Muslims is one of the most peace-aspiring of all.
On the contrary to the majority of people surveyed I strongly support the building of an Islamic Center next to the trade center. We are a country that supports freedom of religion. By not supporting this we are being untrue to the fundamentals our country stands for. Terrorism exists to scare us and turn us against each other, and that's exactly what is happening here.
Why can't everyone just get along?
