The last three days have been kind of a blur. I've been to the orphanage (today the babies were especially messy while feeding because instead of feeding them Cerealax, this sweet, grits-type stuff, they were feeding them a conglomeration on peas, carrots, potatoes, etc. Not sweet, therefore they didn't like it, therefore it got everywhere!), been to class (snore), and actually had homework!!!! Yes, that's right, homework. Today I had a group presentation in my Environmental Law class on International Organizations and their effect on policymaking and environmental law (ps I HATE group projects in the college setting), and I had volunteered to put together the power point (thank goodness). Glad it's over, but it did give me something to do and pseudo-stress over, so yay for feeling accomplished.
Yesterday I went into town with my friend Kathleen to get a new memory card for my camera (mine doesn't have enough memory for some of the trips's I'll be going on) and especially to buy snacks for both a surprise birthday party we're holding tonight for my friend Bailey as well as for the Super Bowl viewing that will occur at 1:30 am on Sunday. PS I found these delicious chocolate-covered oatmeal cookies and wish I hadn't because I want to eat them all the time.
A lot of my time has also been spent on the internet planning sweet trips! For example, on our Uganda trip we will be doing a 2-day whitewater rafting trip at the mouth of the Nile.
This weekend (leaving tomorrow morning, in fact) I will be on a safari in Maasai Mara, rumored to be one of the best safari locations in the world. I absolutely can't wait! We get to camp! I can't wait to tell you all about it.
Hope everyone is well!
