Yesterday I wrote a detailed entry about my trials in auto maintenance from Sunday but the computer ate it. So here I go again.
I was social this weekend and went out on Sat. night with some people from school. I crashed at a friend's place for a couple hours before heading home at 7AM. As I left I noticed there was something wrong with my car, like the alignment was off or something. It wasn't until I was on 95 did I realize that I had a flat tire (sorry, I never had one before). So I call AAA to get someone to change my tire and then a highway courtesy guy shows up and we can't seem to find my spare (it's really hidden) and he tells me to call these other tow guys to speed up the process. Which I do and there's some confusion over who I have to cancel now or wahtever.
So tow guy shows up and takes me to this shady used tire place that only accepts cash and of course I just gave the last of mine to tow guy, which I might not have supposed to do because of AAA but who knows. I have to call my mom to drive down and bail me out. They end up charging me $30 for some tire that had nails in it, but I'm so confused I don't care at that point.
Then I drive back to Mr. Tire in Bel Air and buy two new tires (cause the other front one was going) along with alignment. This sets me back about $300. And it takes quite a bit of time. I know this because I watched all of the 2+ hours of the men's marathon in their waiting room (Is there something more boring than watching people run for hours on end? I don't really think so). I finally leave at 1:30 and go back to my house and crash till about 7 that night.
In the end, I felt horribly stupid about many things and ripped off and just so stressed out about the whole ordeal. The fact that I am hemorahging money from my bank account does not make me feel a lot better.
