Play time is over. Now it

Yesterday I had a nice study break by way of a date with Eric. We did the basic suburban couple thing of dinner and a movie at the mall. But we ate at a local chain and saw an indie movie, so we didn't completely sell out.

We had a nice dinner at DuClaws where I got a wonderful mass-of-calories/sandwich of turkey, cheddar, and bacon on pretzel bread and a couple microbrews. We had some time before the movie so we went to the bookstore for a few minutes. I got into a losing battle with Eric and a random stranger about graphic novels being comic books.

Then we went to see the movie, "Hard Candy." It was totally awesome, but I do not recommend seeing it with your boyfriend. It's best described as Lolita meets Fatal Attraction. The first part totally squicked me out, the middle part totally squicked Eric out. Though I do think it went on a little long and kind of lost focus at the end, it was still totally riveting. The performances were amazing and it is one of the most original movies I've heard of in quite a while. But totally not for the faint of heart.

But now I need to get back to the whole studying thing. Dammit!
