I don't have ballplayers, I've got girls!
I went down to Pickles between my classes this evening to watch the game and hang out. When I got down there I found that I was one of only a few there who were actually watching the game. But I grabbed a beer and a hot dog and watched anyway.
There was one guy who came by where I was standing near the end of the game during a commercial and said something about not knowing what was going on in the game. So I told him, "top of the 9th, Os up 9 to 6." And he responded "Wow, right there with the score and the inning. You are going to make a great wife someday." What a condscending and belittleing compliment. I said nothing because nobody wins when you try to argue with ignorant drunk guys at bars.
But everything is okay because the Os won! And since it's Opening Day, that means they are in first place and are undefeated. I'm going to celebrate while I can.
