Poem to Deirdre

Nov 21, 2005 03:14

space does not exist
within the distance of my breaths
speech is rampant
my thoughts unfinished
you can't comprehend my emotion
terrible motion, screaming lungs
my head hurts, my heart follows

you act like you never hear me
all this yelling is not getting me through
i can't scare you into the tight corner
of "okay honey, whatever you say is true"

your tears are crushing
my soul inside
i can't be happy knowing you feel this way

its so depressing
dressing this tree alone
its like were different and odd
kept inside the closet in a box
only to be opened when given away
to my home, your charity

I wish I could wake up in a picture
From the days when you stayed
I wouldn’t have to wait up late
And god took care of us everyday

I’m sure your sick of hearing “I’m sorry”
But my kiss is isn’t getting through
