Witches and Pirate Queens

It's been quite a while since the last post, so there is a few things to share. I like to elaborate on things when i post, giving lots of detail, but in order to not make this really long, i'll try not to.

-September 19: FLEET WOOD MAC. Let me tell you...it's not fun going to see a band you don't even like when you are bloody and have cramps. that's really all there was to that night.

-September 17-20: NEW ENGLAND VACATION. This was a great time. Jay and i left thursday night, and headed up towards Massachusettes. We spent the night in a Rhode Island Super 8 Motel, then worked our way to Yarmouthport to stop at the Edward Gorey house. It really wasn't much-basically just the first floor of his house transformed into a small museum. I got to see his inkwell and water colors, which excited me. Jay was not too thrilled, but umm HELLO! FLEETWOOD MAC! The gift shop was what killed me, but I got lots of goodies, including a Gashlycrumb Tinies shirt!! We had some time to kill before we had to go to Kell's so we just kind of drove around finding things to do. We stopped in a town called Sandwich that had a really nice nature boardwalk. it wasn't one with arcades or anything, it just connected two pieces of land and it was REALLY nice. we just walked on the beach for a while, getting some exercise for our legs that had been cramped up in the car. we left for Kell's after the boardwalk cos by the time we got there, she should have been home. She wasn't but she came home a little while after we got there. That night we went to Providence to eat at Fire and Ice, then went to the newbury comics in the mall. i think jay was liking newbury comics cos he got another pearl jam vinyl. Saturday was spent in boston, with rain deluging most of the day. we started off at the Lord of the rings exhibit at the Science museum, which was amazing. they had the original costumes, models they used, props, weapons...oh man it was great. i wanted to steal the wraith costume so bad. The next stop was the mall to have lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, leaving me unimpressed. It ws good food, but meh. We headed over to the Aquarium, and spent a few hours in there. It's so nice, though. there was a special exhibit on jellyfish that was very tranquil. the best part is still the big tank that goes up the center of the building. when i become a mermaid and if i had to make a choice as to what aquarium i had to live in, that would be it. we stared at the tank for quite a while, but not as long as the penguins. it had stopped raining by the time we left, so that gave us time to walk around a little bit and jay could actually see boston. we walked over to the italian section, ate dinner, and went an improv comedy club that was hilarious. it was a lot of fun. Sunday we went up to Salem, and were very disappointed. it wasn't what we were really expecting, or hoping for. the town itself was okay, just as a nice place to walk around in. there were some cool graveyards and the witch memorial was cool. the pirate museum and the witch dungeon were neat, too. other than that, though, it wasn't all that fabulous. don't get me wrong, i had a lot of fun, just a little let down. that town really needs to learn what the definition of "museum" is. Kell cooked some awesome pineapple chicken for dinner, and i totally kicked ass at Simpsons Life. i wasn't even paying attention, either! We left monday morning around nine or so, even though neither of us wanted to. It was a really nice trip, but we need to go back to boston when it's not pouring. so kell...when can we come back up? :)

-SEPTEMBER 26: RIVER CITY REBELS. Liser and i went to go see the boys down at asbury lanes, this run down bowling alley, that to both of our surprise, was still functioning. we were greeted by a lovely erik on the steps upon our arrival, so we talked to him for a little while. Zak came outside, and to my own surprise, i didn't have any hard feelings toward him. i was actually kind of happy to see him. He talked to us for a litttle bit, then we went inside to watch his band play. they were good, but all the songs were the same tempo. i forgot how funny it is to watch zak play, too. he looks to angry all the time. Now this day was also Patti's 21st birthday, and he was hammered the whole time. On wine, too. He was stumbling all over the place and being stupid. He tried to be all over liser, but i don't think she was having that too much. He had no other choice but to try for the stupid ass pirate girl who comes to the shows and really freakin pisses us off. she's just so retarted! god! but anyways, like any of their shows now-a-days, there were stupid kids and annoying girls, so we just kind of hung to the side by chris, and witnessed his last jeresy show ever with the rebels. that's right...chris is leaving the band. i'm just as depressed as you are, cos i love seeing that boy. i'm going to miss him so much. liser and i got to have a nice chat with him after the show, about why he's leaving(which we kind of already knew) and the possibility that him and ashley might move to jersey!! woot and more woot!! we told him if he does, he should come hang out and he said okay. he also said that when they come down here he's most likely going to come just to hang out, so that will be great. after the show, everyone was just kind of hanging out on the front steps, talking and laughing. bop said he was battling demons, which made me a little sad. for some reason, it feels like i've gotten closer with bop latley, which is cool. he's really awesome. that stupid pirate girl was being super annoying, and everyone was making fun of her, but i don't even think she noticed. i burned her once and bop loved it. it's always good to hang out with the boys, which is really the main reason we got to see them anymore. as friends. we got awesome good bye hugs (and lisa got their roadie's digits, too!! BAAAAM!!) then headed home. i've realized something though. it seems like, no matter how full of themselves they are, or how many fans they're getting, it seems that at the end of it all, they always come hang out with us. it's like they geniunely appreciate us as friends and not just people who come to their shows. i dont know. maybe it's just me, but i think there's something. i'm going to miss chris as being a part of that, but we'll definitely see him again when they come back. i seriously love those guys. even if they are too rock star for us now. :: AHEM! RYLAN!!::

LAST NIGHT: PHILLIES GAME. awesome. i really liked it.

TONIGHT/TODAY: Jay and i have been together for 11 months today. We are celebrating by going to see Flogging Molly. AMAZING.
