SATURDAY: THE FIRE PARTY.
success. I don't know about anyone else, but i had a good time. it was threatening to rain all night, so said the reliable weathermen and or women, but they cannot be trusted. it DID rain, but it had stopped by around 6 or so(?). no one was really there at that point, anyways. Liser and Jay were the only two, and that's all you need for a party! Once the rain stopped, we began to set up down back, and gradually people started to show up. Kate and Monster Potter, then Eddie Kid (awwwww!) showed up a little while later. Basically all it was was just hanging out by the fire, eating, sharing stories, and just chillaxin. Jon, Kiran, and Metal Pat showed up around 8 or 9 something, and it got a little crazy. Pat tried breaking into the screen tent through the wrong side. It seriously looked like a big bear attacking a camp site. Man, it was hilarious. He also sang a 10 minute metal song about The old Lady By the Lake who hands out cattails to little boys. Kate, you missed it. SO funny. It all ended about 11:30 or so, mainly cos i think it was a little cold, (Kiran needed some blankets), and it was damp, too. There's other factors, too, but it was still fun. I got to see Eddie before he went to college, which made me happy. i love to see that kid.
SUNDAY.
Jay had slept over, and we woke up to an absolutely GORGEOUS day. i mean, perfect. we decided to go to New Egypt Flea Market to find tennis balls, to replace the ones we've lost during Home Run Derby. We come home and picked up the remaining mess from the party and hung about until Liser and i went ot Krome to see the Rebels. Amanda was thinking about going so she can try an hook up with Erik, but whatever. Liser made Sure that didn't happen. ::HIGH FIVE, Liser:: We get there and most of the Rebels were out getting food, so we just hung around in the parking lot, making piles of rocks and gems. Those ants have no idea what's coming. Erik walked by at some point and chatted for a minute, desribing how sweaty and smoky it was inside. He wasn't kidding. We went in a liltl before they played, and left shortly after cos our eyes were about burning out of our heads from all the smoke. It was so gross. The Rebels played pretty good, thought the set did seems kind of short. We were right at the stage, but stupid kids got in front of us and were standing ON the stage so we couldn't see shit. i was getting pissed. Plus this stupid girl who was dressed up like a hot topic pirate (who also was trying to mack patti last time we saw them) had this skirt on that kept sticking to my arm the whole time. it was not the most enjoyable experience, but it was good. people think they're fucking rock stars when they get up on the stage that's no higher than half of your shin. Maybe it's just me, or maybe it is the people, but "punk" shows are not he enjoyable anymore. Eveyrone tries to be so bad ass and so tough, they just wind up being assholes. But maybe that's the point. i don't know anymore...
so we went outside and hung out with the guys for a little while. most of them were so exhausted or sick from the tour. patti wasn't wearing a bit of make up and looked SOO much better. he really shouldn't wear any make up. It's so good to see them, though, cos they really seem to genuinely appreciate us coming to all their shows. We're their freinds, not just fans. Bop even said so. :) Patti was all over lisa like WHAT WHAT! Chris is so freaking adorable it's ridiculous. Erik....oh man. Rylan...we bearely talked to Rylan, but what else is new. The topic of Brandon has way too many comments to be said. And i don't like Jake. he can easily ommitted from the band, then dan reinstated on the guitar. Perfect RCR line up. They packed up their gear, and shortly headed out. It was so much fun hanging out with them, as usual. Hopefull they'll be back soon, cos i don't like going three months without seeing my boys!
It was also decided that night that Lisa and i will dress up as Power Rangers (Yellow and Blue) and have fights in front of cars when they stop at intersections. AWEOSME.
In addition to that:
(while waiting for the rebels to come out side)
Lisa: "we should fight start fighting each other right now".
Me: "why?"
Lisa: "just think of how much time we could be killing right now!"
LAST NIGHT.
I got a Fell Beast toy with a 32" wing span. NOICE.
